Man is it HOT here! It’s been over 100F every day since I landed on Tuesday. I am sitting here in the Wichita airport watching lighting outside the window. Hopefully the storm will pass soon and I can get on my plane. Unfortunately, there are no direct flights in or out of Wichita. So I won’t see my comfy bed until sometime around 1:00 tomorrow morning.
Flying into Wichita, I was seated next to a very large man who could have been a little more liberal with the deodorant. On both legs of my flight here there were no less than two crying babies on board. Just as one child would begin to quiet down, another would pick up where the other left off. The duets always seem to quiet down just as the plane is landing. I am without my mp3 player. So I have no way to drown it all out. Those noise canceling headphone are definitely worth every penny!
Just as I finished the last paragraph, the gate agent made an announcement that our plane was diverted to Kansas City. So until the storm passes, they have no idea when we will be able to get out of here.
