I am headed to Paris in a few hours. I’m really not looking forward to it. I don’t feel well and the thought of 8 hour plane ride over the Atlantic with a stuffy head isn’t very appealing. And before you say “Oh, but it’s Paris…” or “But at least you get to go to a nice places…”, keep in mind that the only time I will see the Eiffel Tower is when we are making our approach to Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Most of the time I am there will be spent in meetings in a conference room or my hotel room preparing for more meetings the following day. Business travel is not glam. And with all the cutback on airlines these days it’s just a big hassle to travel anywhere. Airlines now charge you for everything including checking your bags, sodas, water, coffee, and even peanuts and pretzels!
