The 68-year-old has spent $3,000 on fees for the test, he said. Applicants must score at least 60 on the written exam before they can get behind the wheel for a driving test. Choi says she’s scored as high as 50.
When I read this headline, the first thought I had was; this person must be from Rhode Island. But then I realized that they NEVER fail driver applicants in Rhode Island!
I’ve posted on this before. Rhode Island drivers are the worst drivers in the country! No exaggeration. It’s documented.
My son just turned 16 and I am now teaching him how to drive. But it is pretty difficult to teach someone the rules of the road when 95% of the drivers around you are oblivious to what the rules actually are!

My biggest problem with the drivers in this state is their sheer ignorance and blatant disregard for driving rules. Turning left apparently baffles the drivers here in this state. With the exception of Alaska and Hawaii, I have driven in every state in the country. I have even driven in other countries — including England where they drive on the other side of the road — and nowhere outside of this state have I seen drivers routinely cut you off by turning left in front of you. These mental giants actually believe that they have the right to cut you off and they will take great offense when you protest.
Worse yet is when THEY have the right of way and they graciously “wave” you in. Like they suddenly became an on the spot traffic cop or something. What they don’t realize is that the people behind them are completely unaware of their self appointed field promotion and decide to pass them on the right. This is the number one cause of accidents in Rhode Island! In fact a little baby boy died in my town as a direct result of one of these idiots waving in oncoming cars.
And what do you suppose they do when you refuse their offer to join them in breaking the law? That’s right. They flip you off and use all sorts of obscenities. Unbelievable.
