Today is a day to thank and appreciate all those who are currently serving in all branches of the military.
In 1949, Armed Forces Day was created to replace separate days for the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force. President Harry S. Truman proclaimed the third Saturday in May as Armed Forces Day. The first observance of this day was on May 20, 1950.
So, from my little website here, THANK YOU to all our brave men and women who have in the past and continue to serve our country.
