Dad

I gave one of my old computers to my Dad the other day. My hope was that the computer would give him something to do other than watch TV or call me every hour. Unfortunately, now he is calling me more than before. Now not only am I the lawn and maintenance man, chauffeur to doctor appointments, I am also now tech support. I don’t know what I was thinking. He said he wanted to use the computer to play solitaire. So I put that and mine sweeper on his desktop and showed him how to open and play the games. I watched him open, run, and close the applications and I showed him how to shut down the PC. Not 15 minutes after I left he called me asking me how to open solitaire. I told him to double click on the icon. He said he did but nothing happened. I had him describe the screen to me several times. I could have just drove over there and showed him it all again, but I was too tired to go back. I guess I will have to go over there tomorrow. Maybe I will buy him a copy of Video Professor.
