We contend that for a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle. — Sir Winston Churchill

So Long Jake

Little Jake, my brother’s dog, passed away yesterday. He was 13.

My brother will be the first to tell you that most days Jake was a real pain in the… Jake would constantly bark for no apparent reason other than to hear his own voice and he was always begging for table scraps. Near the end he was having a hard time getting around and he had lost most of his teeth. Despite all that Jake had a really good life.

Jake loved to play with my two dogs – Jack and Roey.

When these three little Terrier-ists would would get together they would spend most of the time running around and chasing each other.

Despite all of Jake’s personality quirks, he was a good little dog.

I know Jack and Roey will miss you and so will I. So long Jake.
