Captain Lou Albano passed away this week. He was 76.
Lou Albano was best known as the outrageous World Wrestling Federation (WWF) wrestler and manager. I never watched WWF but I remember him best as Mario in the live-action Saturday-morning television show The Super Mario Bros. Super Show.
Anyone growing up in the 80s will also remember Captain Lou Albano as the father in Cyndi Lauper’s music video for ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun‘.
