The History of the Coca-Cola Bottle

In 1916, Coca-Cola began manufacturing the now famous contour bottle. The contour bottle, was designed not only for its attractive appearance but mostly as a way to protect the brand. The distinctive bottle shape was designed to assure people that they were actually getting a real Coca-Cola. Coca-cola wanted customers to be able to recognized the product even in the dark.
