Today is Saint Joseph’s Day! For those of you unfamiliar with Saint Joseph’s Day, Saint Joseph is to Italians what Saint Patrick is to the Irish. But instead of soda breads, corned beef and cabbage, and beer, Italians celebrate with seafood, zeppoles, and beer.
Saint Joseph’s Day is big in New York and Rhode Island where there are lots of gumbas like Mike Rielly. 
You would never know it from my last name, but I am actually more Italian than Irish…
